Oellermann's big day not enough, Team TFS Texas blown out 7-1 by North Texas Hype
Sarah Oellermann did her best to jumpstart the offense for Team TFS Texas, reaching base two times. Oellermann singled in the second inning.
Oellermann handled North Texas Hype's lineup with ease, racking up four strikeouts. Team TFS Texas' pitcher allowed three earned runs on five hits and two walks over four innings.
North Texas Hype's #10 showed her talents on both sides of the diamond with a strong game in the circle and at the plate.
Team TFS Texas' pitchers couldn't stop #10 at the plate. #10 went 1-2, drove in one and scored two runs. #10 homered in the first inning.
#10 kept Team TFS Texas off balance while she was on the rubber. Team TFS Texas managed just two hits off of the North Texas Hype's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during her four innings of work.
North Texas Hype went up for good in the first, scoring three runs on a home run by #10 and an RBI single by #22. North Texas Hype built upon its lead with four unearned runs in the fourth.
In the first inning, Team TFS Texas pushed across its only run of the day on a throwing error by North Texas Hype.
Texas Thunder outdone by Black and Team TFS Texas, 8-5
Maggie Black had a good game at the plate as she spurred Team TFS Texas to an 8-5 victory over Texas Thunder in five innings at McFalls Park - Grand Prairie on Saturday.
Black was steady at the plate for Team TFS Texas. Black went 2-2, drove in one and scored two runs. Black singled in the first and fourth innings.
Texas Thunder jumped out to an early lead, but it was unable to hang on. Texas Thunder was ahead until the fifth inning, but Team TFS Texas would not be denied the win, taking the lead back.
Early boost from Black helps Team TFS Texas get past Texas Glory 2000, 6-1
Five first-inning runs helped Team TFS Texas to a 6-1 win over Texas Glory 2000 at McFalls Park - Grand Prairie on Saturday.
Jenica Kevil racked up two RBIs on two hits for Team TFS Texas. Kevil tripled in the first inning and singled in the fourth inning.
Sarah Oellermann handled Texas Glory 2000's lineup with ease, racking up nine strikeouts. Team TFS Texas' pitcher allowed one earned run on three hits and four walks over 4 2/3 innings.
It was a good day at the plate for Texas Glory 2000's #33 who went 2-2. #33 singled in the second and fourth innings.
Team TFS Texas cruises past Texas Pride - Ramos, 11-0
Texas Pride - Ramos didn't put up much of a fight on Saturday, as Team TFS Texas cruised to a blowout 11-0 win in five innings at McFalls Park - Grand Prairie.
Team TFS Texas scored five runs in the fourth on , an RBI single by Ashlyn Lerma, , and a two-run home run by Maggie Black
Black had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits.
Texas Pride - Ramos was unable to make good contact against Kathy Davis Texas Pride - Ramos managed just one hit off of Davis, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out eight during her 4 2/3 innings of work.
Black, Heather McFarlane, Lindsey Franklin and Lerma helped lead Team TFS Texas. They combined for 10 hits and five RBIs.
